New flag pole at 9MCC!

Next time you meander past our beloved community center, swing up the driveway and take a gander at our new flag pole!

Many thanks to valley resident Mark Tomell for his skills and expertise in helping us get this big boy planted properly into the ground, and hoisting it into place. Board members risked hernias, but helped raise the pole so it now stretches skyward.

When Mark dug up the base of the old and defunct flag pole, he found that a date was sketched into the concrete: August 1921. That's a whopping 95 years ago! My, how time flies.

To maintain tradition, Mark scratched in a new date. Maybe in 95 years, valley residents will repeat the process.
